Video: DNA Replication

Through the process of DNA replication the entire genome is copied and passed on to each new cell in the body. This is the mechanism of parents-children heredity too. In the introduction section we study the duplex nature of DNA and how mutations happen. Then we learn about conservative and semi-conservative replication, circular and linear forks, DNA polymerase and Okazaki fragments, until we get to the whole picture. There are comprehension questions and the possibility to go back and review every section.
