The aim of this lesson plan is to produce a television show and understand the variety of skills and tasks it takes. Students should do some preliminary research to find out about the usual format for a television show. They have to write a proposal, describing the plot, setting, and characters. The proposal should also specify the target audience. Then they could write the script and draw the storyboard. Once the actors have been cast and after several rehearsals, they can film or tape their episodes. There are discussion questions on the evolution of the TV and a glossary.
